Mark Jeffrey graduated in 1985 at the top of his class from the Nash Academy, one of the top grooming schools in North America. Mark was honoured with the Best in Class award and following graduation he opened The Debonaire Dog at its present location, 72 Florence Drive in Oakville.
With 30 years of professional grooming experience Mark is familiar with all breed standard clips and has serviced and cared for multiple generations of Oakville dogs.

"The Debonaire Dog opened in 1985 and I believe our family was one of the first to walk through the doors!! Back then we had a beautiful Toy Poodle named Tinker and soon after a Bichon Frise named Bailey. No one could get them dolled up like Mark. We asked for what he called the 'puppy cut'. It made them look as cute as buttons. We always teased that no one could be in the same room as Bailey after grooming day....she KNEW how good she looked!!
When I moved to Toronto and had my own dog, a Golden Retriever named Mabel, it didn't make sense to find a salon closer. It is worth the drive to bring them out to Oakville. My second dog, a rescued Golden named Wilbur required a bit more time and effort. His start in life was very rough so having his paws clipped and hair brushed isn't enjoyable for him. Mark is so patient! The whole team remembers Wilbur's special needs. He has grown to even enjoy his day getting 'buffed and puffed'! I highly recommend The Debonaire Dog - and often do!"
